Octavia MK2 1.4TSI

Can anyone confirm the MK2 Octavia 1.4 TSI (2009 on) is chain driven?

I also seem to recall A1’s of a similar vintage had chain issues, stretching of I think. Presumably all being VAG the engines are the same/similar?

I’ve tried an online search but most details on the MK2 is aimed at non petrolheads frankly, understandable given its remit.
