My 7 speed dry DSG box is experiencing a bit of slip between the gears.

it's looking like a new clutch is required - based on the fault codes I'm seeing, and the other symptoms listed.

Does anybody have any Indy garage recommendations. I know these gearboxes aren't the simplest and need shimming correctly.

Hoping I can find a balance between cost & quality based on your experiences.

Cheers!

Talk to Tim at the Phirm. If they can't do it themselves he will know somebody that can.

The Phirm are not scared of DSG work, and are who I would ask in that part of the world too.

The only "problem" with Milta, is that they'll very likely sell you a full box rebuild (although they're certainly the best people in the UK to do that).

VAS motion near guildford might be worth a call.

My Octavia with the DQ200 box is starting to slip, bit of a noise pulling away in 1st when it’s warm and sometimes 1st to 2nd. Not really changed much in the last year or so(it’s a private hire car) tried a couple of places but they were reluctant to quote!

Nice, thanks for the suggestion. I got in contact and the approximate quote is £1700 for a new clutch!

Another company came back with a very similar figure.

So I guess I need to start planning this in, hopefully the clutch will last until the end of summer.
