B8 Passat estate, code out the f£@%$^$ beeps?

After ten months of it, I've finally had enough. I find i'm changing the way I do things just to avoid the beeps. The worst two are the door open with engine running, and remotely opening the boot. Drives me nuts.

So, is there anything I can buy to do this without requiring an IT qualification? Or are there clever people around Suffolk who do this for fun/a living/beer?

I'm not sure about the Passat but with the A4 B8 if you press the button on the underside of the windscreen wiper stalk whilst the door is open and engine is running then it will stop the beeping.

The button selects the various central binnacle displays, so maybe a different button on the Passat and maybe not even work, but figured worth a try

May be doable if you find someone good with Vcds in your area.
Probably need to visit a passat specific forum maybe Facebook would help?
