Well, yes. And no.
I've got a 2013 RS5 cabriolet, which I love, though my other car isn't an S5 cabriolet.
What it is is something incredibly different, yet similar. Its an A6 C6 Avant, though with the same 3.0 petrol engine with a supercharger (though, from factory tunned to to 290 bhp instead of the 333 bhp you'd get on a S5 from factory).
In case you did tune your car and got it to, say, 450 horses with loads of torque: the RS5 feels slow off the mark. Torque only comes later on that power band. That said, you probably won't care. The car is a joy to drive, and I enjoy taking it slow just to hear the grumble of the v8, upshifts and downshifts. Not only that, it looks amazing with its wheel arches flared out, wavy discs, oval exhaust tip and the rest.
If you're just after a little more from your car, let's say you've had it for a while and you're getting antsy about it, I'd say (if it's stock):
-take it to MRC for an ECU and TCU remap. Don't bother with the pulleys and intakes because it's gonna be a heck of a difference just by playing with the control units.
-then, take it to Zaustworx and get a rear box delete.
I cannot describe the difference a remap makes on these cars, and the sound you get from them with a back box delete is something else.
All in, you'll be less than 2k out of pocket though will have spared yourself the selling and buying aggro and not have dropped however much you'd have to drop for the RS5.
Final point: I'm insured with Admiral and they did not murder me when I got the remap and exhaust onto my insurance profile (which I do recommend doing).
Let me know how you get on!
