c7 a6 allroad timing chain rattle

I purchased my wife an a6 allroad earlier this year and not long after purchase it developed a timing chain rattle.
is this much of a worry on these or not, ive spoken to one garage and they say its at least 2 days work as an engine out job to do it.
Is it a job that needs instantly doing or will it go on alright

3.0 tdi and a bit of rattle at certain revs

There is a chassis range on 3.0 TDI (around 2016?) where the drive teeth on one of the exhaust cams can be noisy; data on diagnosing all in erwin that your garage will be able to cross reference for you.

Most people leave it alone but there is a revised part if it's an issue.
