Skoda Superb 2010 with DSG engine code CBBB but am sure this was used across VAG ranges of the time. 140,000 miles but very well maintained on an annual service schedule.

Issue: From time to time I notice a light blueish smoke being momentarily emitted from the exhaust. Always on acceleration and usually coincides with a light application of the accelerator from a closed throttle setting. Does not appear to be doing this consistently.

Blue smoke is indicative of oil being burnt but oil level is fine and the car does not use oil.
Coolant level is fine.
Fuel consumption remains excellent 50+mpg on the motorway with climate ON.
No apparent loss of performance,

Any idea what the cause is?

Tbh I would imagine it’s just high mileage diesel doing it’s thing, I have seen a few 2.0 tdi CR 140/170s do this recently.
