Spluttering tt

Had a tt parked up for a month went to start it today and apart from a flat battery it's really spluttery and won't rev over 1500 with my foot flat on the floor.

Also the roofs leaked and passenger footwell is now a footbath , is there a ecu around there ?

The ECU is in the scuttle drainage tray on the mk2. Remove the cover (you need to remove wipers) and clear out the drain hole rubbers at either end.

I'm not expert but putting an ecu in a water gutter seems stupid to me.

Is the EPC light on while the engine is running?
If the battery is really low/dead/had to be started with a booster pack, this can cause the issue you're experiencing.

Yes it was.

Do i just leave it ticking over to sort itself out ?
