2011 q7 bluetooth

Looking for a bit of advice i have a 2011 q7 (I think mmi 3?) I am looking to play Spotify over Bluetooth from my phone is this possible? If not is there a way to do it?

Bluetooth had to be bought as a specific option, it was quite pricey at the time so was uncommon. It could be retrofitted by a dealer for about £500 back in the day, I don’t know if that’s still offered by anyone.

There will also be any number of third party Bluetooth dongles that you could plug into an Aux socket (assuming it has one; I can’t remember!), it’s getting power to them that’s the issue.

I have Bluetooth on the car and it makes and receives calls but there is no option to play media over Bluetooth, e.g phone.

I think there is something in the glove box for connecting to MMI but not 💯 sure will check.


Just wondered if any q7 owners had a work around?
