Mk7 Golf estate rear seat release broken

So with the rear seats on my GTD estate one side works as normal, you pull the lever in the boot and the rear seat back drops flat without touching it. The other side has no spring tension, so when you pull that lever the seat back releases but then needs a manual push to fold flat. Not the end of the world I know, but would like to get it fixed so they both just fold flat without having to lean in and give them a shove. Something's obviously snapped on one side, but has anyone had the same problem and found a fix?
