Can't find anything in the manual about turning off the alarm system. Was on the Caen-Portsmouth sea crossing a couple of weeks ago and there was an announcement to turn off the alarm before leaving the car deck. Couldn't find how to do this and kept getting 'phone alerts that the alarm was going off during the crossing. I did leave the car unlocked when I left it thinking that the alarm wouldn't operate but of course the car self locked after a few minutes. It's just the movement/motion alarm that needs to be turned off and not the interior monitoring.

Thought I'd try here first before trundling off to the dealer to see if there is a solution.

PS On older models there used to be a switch on the "B" pillar but newer models don't have this.

The switch on the B Pillar was to turn off interior monitoring, this is now in the infotainment system. If you just get out of the car and leave it unlocked, it shouldn't re-lock. It would only re-lock if you lock the car then unlock it without opening a door.

I know nothing about Skodas.

But, every car I've ever had only self locks if you don't open the doors. (i.e. unlock the car, open the door, shut the door and the car doesn't self lock)

? (But maybe Skodas are different)
