I have had the 7.5 for a year now and I am starting to get itchy feet. It is a manual with the upgraded sound system and alloys.

I am looking at trading it for a two year newer fully specced A5 convertible.

The cost to change is around £2k, but the Audi will have a warranty etc.

Let me know your thoughts....

It really depends on what your needs and wants are.

Arguably the Golf R is one of the finest all-round performance cars, whereas an A5 convertible is a feelgood cruiser with different priorities. It's not a move I'd make personally speaking, but you are in a far better position to make your own judgement. smile

Personally I find the A5 to be the most beautiful car in the current VAG lineup. Would definitely make for a better cruiser if that's what you are after. Think it would suit an auto a lot more though.

Getting into the A5, on a day like today, and going for a cruise would answer this question quite easily (Dump the golf, buy the ragtop)

I’ve just found out that for the next couple of years it is £520 a year tax which is annoying !

I only do 9000 miles a year and nothing very interesting. It would require to child seats in the back. But I’ve looked at one and they fit fine.

Will probably take a look this week
