2014 VW Touareg - wet passenger footwell!!
Discussion
Hi all,
Hoping for some guidance! We seem to have developed a wet passenger footwell. A quick Google suggests either a pano sunroof drainage pipe issue, or the A/C drainage pipe is blocked.
I've taken the panel off below the glovebox, and appear to have found the source. Does anyone know if this part is connected to the A/C or Pano roof?
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix? Many thanks in advance!

Three possibilities.
The plenum chamber between the engine bay and bulkhead has drains that get blocked allowing the chamber to fill with water which then comes through the pollen filter housing. To solve this push out the drain bungs or put a wide tube in the bung to allow water to drain more freely.
Second if the seal for the pollen filter is made from foam like it was in my B5 Passat, it breaks down and allows water in - I replaced it with sealing putty.
On my Audi A6 water would drain into the chassis rail on the passenger side and come through the floor. Rare but it happened. As with the first solution, a pipe in the bung stopped water draining out of the plenum bung into the chassis rail, by diverting the flow of water away from the chassis rail.
Every so often check for leaves etc getting into the plenum chamber and blocking up the drain bungs.
