Body shop: main dealer or independent approved?
Discussion
Someone hit my car on the drivers side door in a car park and has left a significant scratch and dent.
The driver has offered to pay for the repair so I’m not worried about cost.
My options are Slough Audi Body Shop (they have their own workshop) or Auto Tech in Taplow who are apparently an approved Audi repair centre.
Is it generally better to go independent or main dealer when cost is not an issue?

do they both agree that after repair the manufacturer 10-12 year bodywork warranty (or what ever it's called) will still be intact ?
I was in a similar situation earlier this year - in my 2016 Golf - and chose the VW approved repairer. I got an offical looking document from VW stating my repair is manufacturer approved.
It might all just be propaganda but I'm hoping it's a sign a good job was done.
