Troc R - Coasting

The coasting function on our late 2021 Troc R seems to be permanently engaged regardless of drive mode. The only time it doesnt coast is with the gearbox in manual.

I find this coasting really unpleasant and I've searched in vain for a way to disable it. The previous Golf 7.5R only ever did it in eco mode so that was never an issue.

Does anyone know if this coasting function can be disabled? Theres no mention in the handbook.
