Coding towbar in
Discussion
New to me Leon ST arriving that I've got to get a towbar on.
Can I code the towbar into the car by myself - with correct doofer? I will likely buy a PF Jones 'tailored for the car' electrics pack.
Also recommend a good doofer/OBD tool that's not silly money please
I've been used to Volvo Vida/Dice for the last five years, so need to get my head around big VAG again.

Find someone with VCDS (or take it to an indy specialist with that or ODIS). If it's a newer model it might need ODIS for the coding to stick.
Most towbar places can do the coding as part of an install, so if you're getting the towbar from a local place they may be prepared to do the necessary, even if they're not fitting it.
