Hi

so I have a 2012 S5, Standard spoke wheels with winters on them, come with rotating collars on the bolts

I bought some 'RS' look replicas with summers on them and when the guys fitted them they said the original bolts didn't fit so needed to put different ones on, they didn't charge me, but the bolts they used where with a fixed collar.

Time to put the summers back on and before I do, should I get new bolts with rotating collar?

On a side note, it was extremely difficult to get them off (actually book a socket and extender on them whilst using a 4ft pipe for leverage!), not sure if its wan enthusiastic garage gun or the fixed collar being the issue ?

It's not a collars or no collars problem.

Your replica wheels will likely require a tapered seat bolt while your OEM wheels require radius seat bolts.

So when fitting the OEM wheels, you should use the oem radius seat bolts.
