2013 beetle convertible roof stuck open

Hi,

Asking for a friend....

Does anyone know how to manually put up the roof on a 2013 beetle? It is a new car to her and came without a manual. Symptom is that one of the rear windows doesn't go up and no sign of life on the roof. If you use the door switch to just raise the window it goes up in a couple of 4" lifts but doesn't get the top...

Window regulators regularly fail on these. I had to do three on mine.

Thanks. Do you know of that mostly true for a 2013 as well as the earlier one? I only had a quick look but it doesn't appear to have manual catches at the front for example. And there is zero sign of life of it releasing the catches at the rear when you press the button.

She has left it with selling dealer now who are struggling. I guess spending money on it will be their last resort.
