As above, which models, which engines and when from?

I always thought they came with the standard K03 but see quite a few cars with the 240 bhp showing on AutoTrader, from 2009 onwards.

Did the standard Cupra get the K04 when it moved to the EA888 or did the EA113 get it?

Thanks in advance.

Only the K1 Cupra R got the K04, which is a derivative of the 8P S3 and Golf 6 R's CDL engine.

The CDL is the strongest EA113 engine. It took until Gen 3 EA888 to come close to that engine for strength and reliability.

The Leon Cupra 240 and Cupra R 265 share the ko4 , not just k1 edition.

But the 240 is a derivative of BYD engine from the Edition 30, so not as strong as the 265/S3/6R lump, just for extra info.

265/S3/6R has a different head, inlet cam, pistons and rings.
