Wouldn't hesitate getting a car remapped. Don't forget, manufacturers offer a world wide warranty on their cars, where the cars experience lower grade fuels, extremes of temperature etc, so engines are run at a fairly low state of tune. A Stage 1 map, won't be putting much strain on an engine.

A mildly tuned C7, correctly maintained has proved a fairly tough thing.

If things are kept sensible, the car used with respect, and maintained correctly (steer well clear of longlife servicing) then you'll probably be fine.

An expensive thing to break though, and the liability is all your own as the powertrain warranty will be gone.

How much faster can you go?
