They are in the radar and not much in it lightly used - I'm interested in an owners opinion.

A member of my family drives an SQ8, had it for around a year now - the Petrol variant. What would you like to know?

Cheers

I'd only have petrol, I'm wondering if its special enough for £100k where a lightly used RSQ8 is about the same - basically do they like it?

Don’t they both have they same 4.0 TFSI petrol engine? If so, it would be down to spec of the respective models. A Stage 1 remapped would sort out any difference between the power of the two vehicles.

I don't need the power I just want the best car. I've a test drive in a RSQ8 on Saturday - after the Bentley it'll be interesting

How come you're getting shot of the Bentley? Just run it's course?

So they had the diesel SQ7 beforehand and having driven both myself the petrol is a much better experience, definitely didn't feel any need for extra speed or power - it's silly how such a big car can get shifting so quickly.

Sound is a little muted due to ppf but does pick up in sport mode, though certainly not as loud as the likes of the Range SVR. Unless you're driving spiritedly in Sport mode it feels like any other Audi SUV to be honest. Other than that I guess it comes down to personal preference on the optional extras and the very slight differences in appearance between the S & RS.

My family member went for the S due to using it as a daily driver and it does the job very well - comfortable and not too awful on fuel if driven sensibly, though I think if you're after more of a special/wow factor then the RS would be the one to choose.
