So.....

I am ordering a new RSQ3 and cannot decide between the Vorsprung or the Sport model with extras.

Now that may sound a daft question, but.....
1) I don't like the wheels on the Vorsprung (prefer the Sport ones in solid black)
2) I prefer a flat bottomed steering wheel (not available on the Vorsprung as it has the assistance pack which needs a round wheel)
3) The Vorsprung normally comes with 360 camera, and i love that. But due to semi-conducter shortage, the dealership told me they are no longer fitting it, even on the Vorsprung).
4) With all the extras I have chosen, the only difference is I have not selected the assistance pack, nor the carbon mirrors. Not bothered about the mirrors and not sure if i should/shouldn't select the assistance pack. But as above, it will mean a round wheel.

So here are my choices
a) Stay with the Sport and do without the assist pack (save £1,560 over the Vorsprung)
b) Stay with the Sport and order the assist pack, losing the square bottom wheel (saves £760 over the Vorsprung)
c) Get the Vorsprung and live with the fact it doesn't get the 360 cam, it has the wheels I am not too keen on, but could have sprayed, and the steering wheel is round.

As you can see, this is not about the cost really, although I am mindful of future resale appeal, the Vorsprung may get a more interest?

I would approach this by determining your perfect spec, then ranking the options you wanted and finally your routes to purchase these.

If you want Individual paint or something else really hard-to-find, then a factory order with no compromises is the only way to go - even if it means waiting until the chip shortage abates. Getting a factory order that is less than perfect is a potentially grating and / or expensive experience.

If you have a more flexible set of requirements, then perhaps a used model would be better (noting this is a new design RSQ3).

Some options will be available as a retrofit, though I would only choose this route - as well as wheel refurbs etc - on a used model.
