The electric tailgate on my Seat Ateca has stopped working & is giving an audible fault notification (3 beeps) every time I try to use. Plug-in checks by an auto sparky have indicated that wiring in the struts has gone faulty. When I've tried to source new Ateca specific struts, the prices are through the roof. However, I've seen on a couple of forums, mention that the Tiguan struts are the same, apart from a slight difference in part no's (575******* for the Ateca & 5NA******** for the Tiguan. Additionally, Tiguan struts can be sourced for a pair, a lot less than buying a single Ateca strut !! It's bonkers.

Has anybody used the Tiguan struts, if so, any issues please.

Cheers guys !

Hi,

The Ateca struts are - 575827851A (left) & 575827852A (right). The Tiguan struts 5NA*******, as opposed to 575*******

Does this help?

Cheers

Hi mate,

Did you manage to use Tiguan struts as I’ve got the exact same issue?

Might be worth checking this supplier: https://www.sgpetchparts.co.uk/seat/ateca/2016-201...

The first three digits of the part number represent the platform IIRC. If the rest of the part number is the same then the part is likely very similar (if not identical).

I’ve ordered 4D0 (A8 MK2) parts before for an 8N0 (Audi TT Mk1).

Thanks all - looks like it might be worth trying the Karoq/Tiguan struts then.

New SEAT ones priced at £370 each so will keep an eye out for used ones!

Cheers
