Come in, he’s got a 1.4 golf, life choices don’t always work out! biggrinbiggrin

Just kidding, OP, try Tuning Werkes down that way. They know their stuff with the VWs.

Escapee 1998.

OP, depending upon which way you are driving there are speed cameras in that area down towards the Bus Garage and if you spot a yellow box junction there is probably a camera there as well.

Was once sat in their office, waiting for my car service to be finished. Heard the service guy tell someone on the phone not to bother with an air con service if it was still cold, because VAG’s 2 yearly service recommendation was a bit of a money spinner. Lol.

They also use OEM parts. Said they look at the part and order the same make, but it isn’t ‘genuine’. Apparently its exactly the same but doesn’t have VW’s genuine branding and markup.

I’m not going to complain when their quotes were generally coming in at 2/3rd’s the price of a main dealers. They weren’t that much cheaper fitting ‘genuine’ parts however.

They were also more flexible, servicing to the requirements of the car, rather than going by the book. Once they didn’t replace the spark plugs because they were fine and didn't charge for this either.

Seemed to be run by a bunch of people looking to do a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay. Not amazingly cheap but reliable and would definitely use them again.
