Audi S8 D4 spec sensitive?
Discussion
After having three S6's, I'm now looking at getting into a D4 S8. I've had an S6 with the same 4.0 twin turbo engine and I've had an early D4 A8 with the 3.0 TFSI engine. I feel its now time to combine the two.
I'm after a 2015/2016 facelift model. Black or Daytona grey with 21" wheels and a few options such as 360 cameras, sunroof.
I've seen a few which seem to be cheaper than the rest but their spec doesn't really appeal to me. Light grey or brown/cream interiors are out. I've also seen some with no carbon fibre interior inlays or sports seats. A few of the car supermarkets seem to have some low spec ones with average miles for circa £30k. I presume these are a result of the previous cheap leasing thread.
Anyone else in the same predicament or have a D4 S8 care to comment on the state of the market?

A lovely car indeed and whilst I don't think you'll have a problem with the availability of black or Daytona cars, the age you're looking at was when, as you hint to, many were leased for between £300 & £600 p/m (depending on how quick you were!) .... a family friend had a 65 reg and it was Daytona with the standard grey leather, nothing else.
Get an Autotrader saved search going I'd say.

You've hit the nail on the head.
Cheap lease/rental deals flood the market with basic cars; sometimes the odd colour combinations (blue S5 with read seats, I'm looking at you) are as a result of people ticking the few "no cost" options boxes, and not caring about it afterwards as it isn't their car.
Decent specification cars do come up (I've sold a few, but not recently), and it's worth hanging on for a decent one.
