Yep, nothing as posh as an L&K but we leased a Monte Carlo for next to no money in 2017 and bought for a very good price at end of term, as we really liked it and it fitted into our lives perfectly.

I like the fact that it’s a bit utilitarian and not very mumsy. Painless to own and run and seems to be reasonably well thought of by those prepared to overlook the Skoda badge.

Same here. Recently moved to the Scottish Borders with a V90. Got offered silly money for it and traded it in for a Yeti 4x4. Monte Carlo edition I'll have you know! So far so good

They're fantastic, and the MK1 in particular looks brilliant.

One of very few modern cars where function trumps form, and looks all the better for it. When the need for a slightly larger family car arises this will be what we look for.

Great car, we leased one for buttons in 2016.

We also bought another recently but service history was patchy.

I was looking for one until the rapid increase in used car prices.

My research revealed a possible problem with the Panoramic Sunroof. Apparently water leaks are a problem and difficult to cure

Would Dr G have any thoughts on this particular problem?

I'm planning on getting one soon to replace my Jazz, looking forward to a change. It's nice to see they have a bit of a following as well.

Hi Adam, so far i,m pleased with it drives better than i expected and seems well put together. A mini SUV space is good also though.

I'm currently running two, a 170bhp 2.0 diesel that I use to tow a caravan which it does very well rated to tow 2000kg!
Also have a 1.2 sel dsg both have heated leather and the bendy halogen headlights well worth having.
The removable seats are useful but its not huge inside.
As you said they do handle well.
Had the diesel 5 years and had a couple of problems, it needed a new Aircon compressor fortunately covered by the approved used warranty and the water pump started leaking at 48k which needed the timing belt replacement as that was due at 50k Cost a bit at the main dealer (only went to the dealer hoping for some good will but didn't happen)
As said if you have the Pano roof do keep an eye on it as they have a carp reputation for leaking, stopped me buying a L&K.
