What gearbox do I have??
Discussion
May sound like a stupid thing not to know, but I’m confused…..
2015 A4 Allroad 3.0tdi auto
Is it tiptronic, s-tronic, dsg or something else entirely???
And reason I would like to confirm what type is that it’s due a gearbox service and I want to make sure I get the correct price.
TIA
Mike

I'm 99% confident on that year its an S-Tronic gearbox which in layman's terms, is the twin clutch auto 7 speed box.
Regarding oil changes, its every 38k miles, and I believe Audi dealers do fixed price servicing for gearbox oil and filter changes for £225 as long as the car is above 3 years old (which yours clearly is).

Thanks All,
I managed to set up MyAudi last night, which I had done previously before it moved to an app.
Shows my cars(including one I no longer have), but no details of service history.
Interestingly I got a price from an independent which is £70+ more than dealer, which is what got me thinking.
Indi has called it a DSG, and includes internal and external filters as well as some very expensive oil, and allowed 2hours.
Dealer hasn’t given much detail(I’ve asked for a breakdown) and only allowed .9 hrs - obviously at much higher rate.
The Indi will update the Audi service record system, and I’m quite happy to use them, but wanted to make sure I’m getting the right job.
Thanks again
Merry Christmas
