Help Needed VW 2.0Tdi Passat Sport

Hi Few weeks ago checked fluids on car and noticed water level slightly low topped up 250ml water. Seems that when using Aircon get alot of moisture on screen on start up and takes 10 minutes to clear. If aircon not used just heater (hot air coming from heater) no moisture on the screen ? Any idea what problem is please ?

No is far worse than just condensation. Get into car with screen clear within 30 secs of Aircon on screen gets badly wet and dangerous to continue journey without wiping screen . But getting in and just putting heater on is fine clear screen gradually heats up perfect vision. Water level reduces but only about 250ml......

Any signs of water on the carpets?
Sounds like a heater matrix leak if its loosing water.

Carpet aren't wet at all. Seems strange how it only happens when Aircon is switched on ? Is heater matrix replacement a major job ?
