Hi, I have a 2013 Audi S5 and whilst driving error message “gearbox overheating adjust driving style” popped up. It keeps coming on every minute or so whilst driving. It was shifting to up to 3rd and 4th gear whilst driving at very low speeds (less than 20mph), then I manually changed the gears using the flappy paddles and it seemed to sort itself out for a few miles then the error reoccurred. The gear changes have felt a little clunky when going to park to drive/reverse. Spoke to a gearbox specialist and he advised my clutch has gone…does this sound correct?

Many thanks

I suspect you need to speak to these folk, unless they're who you've already spoken to?

It's who Dr G recommends/uses for work on s-tronic boxes and there's really nobody else offering the same level of service on these boxes without just dropping in a couple of new components or replacing the whole box.

Only thing I can add to that is that a mechatronic issue can cause a clutch issue, so if that is the case then there's a good chance you'll want both.

...and yes, I've seen other people say they can fix/recon these boxes but Milta are currently the go-to people in the UK.
