I'm looking at buying a 2018 A6. Didn't want diesel as mostly urban driving and I'm concerned about DPF. But after reading about some E10 issues with lower mpg, I'm not sure if petrol is such a good idea. Has anyone noticed a decrease in mpg since switching to E10, particularly in the 1.8 TFSI?

2.0 TFSi here (but same gen of engine).

~350 miles until the fuel light comes on with mixed driving. Exactly the same on old fuel and new.

I went back to petrol for the same motives as the OP, but same engine as Dr G (A4 Allroad 2.0 TFSi 252 PS).
I haven't noticed any difference in mpg. Over to the Lake District and back a few weeks ago using E10 and returned an average of 44.6 mpg!
