Q7 3.0 tdi - egr valve control flap?

I have an issue with my 2007 Q7. Upon heaven acceleration the car sounds very “wooshy”. Like it has an air leak.

I have checked it out and it looks like the egr control flap pops out. I can push it back in and it’s fine until I accelerate harshly to make it pop out again. Perhaps some play in it?

Is there an easy fix? Or do I have to replace the control flap?
Can I blank the valve instead?

You can do an egr delete - have a look at darkside developments for parts. While in there I’d do a swirl flap delete and remap as well, this engine produces a lot of ponies and torque when mapped properly, like 300bhp/700nm easy
