Hi to all,

Wondered if anyone has had any ongoing issues same or similar to what I'm currently experiencing with a 2013 VW Passat 2.0 tdi 140 87000 miles.

Every couple of weeks the car attempts to regen -starting off by idling higher/ auto stop-start stops functioning. Even after a long high speed motorway trip driving under recommended regen conditions, the car will never actually finish an attempted regen and eventially, the dpf filter light will illuminate amber, I've never left it until it starts to flash. Under no circumstances can I get the light to go out by driving, only by when its reset with VCDS or a forced regen is performed.

There are no fault codes found whenever scanned and no other warning lights have appeared on dash. There is no drop in performance, only fuel consumption is increased which is understandable. The soot levels aren't measuring high at all, currently calculated at 13.51g and it's still trying to regen, I regularly do motorway mileage and hardly any short trips.

Other remedial measures taken have been a dpf flush, number 1 exhaust temp sensor replaced (shortage found by technician) EGR checked/tested no issues found and now seem to be running out of ideas.

The car had a highly rated and recognised stage 1 remap carried out about 6 months ago, but I did have the dpf light did come on the same amount. Before the map, I found that the light would go out by itself by driving, that's the only difference. Without any codes or warning lights, I feel really stumped.

Any tips or advice from anyone who's been here would be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers

John C
