2013 Polo 1.4 100k. About to cost £££?
Discussion
Hi,
Am looking at a 2012/13 Polo for my kids. They'll both be at Uni in September so its a car for when they're back home so as a consequence the mileage won't be that high. The 1.4's are only aobut £60 more to insure but have 85hp instead of 60hp. The are coming from a new-ish MINI Cooper so even the 1.4 will be big power drop. I won't have a nearly new car hanging around on the drive when they're away for weeks at a time - hence the car change.
To the question: I only want to spend about £3-3,500 which means that I'm in for a high mileage Polo. I can't see anything really bad from some googling for the 1.4's when they reach this age/miles but wondered if there was any experience from owners on here?
Not that I can buy it, or really need it yet but a 2013 1.4 Match popped up fairly locally to me. 103k, just had major service incl clutch and timing kit/water pump. £3,300.
I know there are probably better alternatives for the money but Polo's seem to remain cool round here, so will stick with that choice.
Thanks
