They all do that sir!.....
Discussion
Following on from my A3 tyre wear thread, I had the wheel alignment done yesterday at Audi dealer, they did it FOC (but originally wanted £159).
Anyway they tell me that excessive wear to the inner edge of the tyre is a 'characteristic' of the car, they called it "Quattro Scrub" and said that all A3 Quattro's, TT's & S3's etc do it.
So if you're looking at buying one budget for front tyres at 8 - 10,000 miles and be prepared to throw away a tyre with 5mm of tread from outer edge to centre - "They all do that Sir"

Sounds like too much "toe out" to me. You can get it adjusted, but I don't know how much that would affect the handling.

Sounds that way to me but they tell me that's how it should be, probably upsets the cornering if not ?
p.s. anyone want a cheap pair of 225/45 ZR17 Dunlops with 4 - 5mm of tread all over except the inside 1" or should I donate them to the anti-scamera cause
