Hi guys,

I'm handing back my Leon Cupra to VWFS at the end of the month and unfortunately I took a chunk out of my tyre last week.

I'm in two minds as to whether to replace it with a part worn or not (I can for £75), as the tyre isn't actually illegal but that doesn't mean VW won't charge.

My question is, does anyone know roughly what I could be charged to replace a 19" tyre on a 2018 Leon Cupra? If it's fairly reasonable, I might take the risk.

Also while I'm here, it says on the charges sheet that stone chips on forward facing panels are fair wear. Has anyone has instances where they have still been charged despite this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

SS2.

I'm fairly confident a damaged (and non-repairable) tyre would be charged at the approved retailer / dealer price.

Might be worth grabbing that part-worn.

Thanks! I was thinking the same.

I also figured the less obvious issues, the less detailed their inspection may be. Although ai guess that depends on the inspector on the day.
