Hi guys while my turbos still up and running and cars still moving I think it’s wise for me to invest and upgrade my current turbo. Cars mapped and I wish to take it further so I don’t particularly trust the stock turbo being up to the task. Just wondering any recommendations on turbos to go for, I’m aware of the usuals such as litco etc just wondering is there anyone else who offers a good unit for a reasonable price, if they take my current turbo in as a exchange programme to clear some of the balance, even better. I am considering having my stock turbos internals rebuilt and strengthened but I think I’d also have that little thought in the back of mind that it could go pop on me, I’m already experiencing it now and I just can’t fully enjoy the car as I’m always worried

Many thanks

Yeah mate it’s 1700 quid once the 600 has been returned. Even then it mentioned inspection of current turbo so they could turbo around and knock you back, so would be 2300 all in, ouch

Lol ain’t that the truth. In all honestly a litco l450 is £1500 and l500 £1700, the l380x which is their entry level one but good for a stage 2 car and an upgrade to stock unit is £1150 with new actuator etc etc, 2300 seems abit too Steep IMO, is the te555 or whatever it called a good turbo? Who makes it? Also noticed NV motorsports hybrid for MQB as been reduced to 1950, I know they have it fitted in the stage 3 car

You will have more joy getting info on the FB groups, lots of stage 3 guys and tuners who can give you input.

Venom seem to be getting good feedback at the moment, a friend is selling a fully rebuilt Littco 500 turbo if your interested?

Do you have all the supporting hardware in place yet?

Have a nosey round the facebook pages for you car.

Lots of people running both the TTE and Littco hybrids, you will get a feel for the best hardware to compliment them and the best software for each then.

Thanks for input guys, I’m a member to a few Facebook groups, seems a lot of guys are in the same boat either looking for or selling there old knackered turbos lol how much was your mate after for the litco 500 mate? I’ve been on to litco yesterday they can upgrade all my internals of current turbo up to the l380x unit new supercore, actuator etc for £750 that’s good for 400plus bhp which would be a stage 2 car. That same unit to buy new is £1150. Just wondering now whilst my current unit is still working would I get more than 400 quid sold privately (the difference between a new unit and having current unit upgraded) it’s my daily so I think stage 2 is as far as I’d go, stage 3 is too much grief, HPFP etc, I do t want to get into all of that palava. I also hear good things about venom, I might need to give them a message. I currently don’t have a intercooler or down pipe for stage 2. Have a intake and hose, turbo inlet and just a resonator delete. Turbos my main concern at this moment as I wouldn’t push the car any further power wise without turbo piece of mind. In all honestly 50% of people out there have similar or worse turbos then mine and are pushing stage 2 power fine, I had a custom map so my turbo was inspected prior, a lot of people are getting off the shelf apr and revo maps and unaware of turbo condition, scary!
