I've just swapped from a MK2 Leon FR+ 2.0 with DSG, never had a problem with setting off or delayed DSG in D mode or pedal feel.

I've swapped to a DSG Cupra 280 with the same gearbox and it has a huge deadzone on the go pedal, like pretty much half the pedal feels mushy with no response. It holds the same revs in the whole first half of the pedal but you need to basically nearly full throttle to actually move forward with a bit of speed.

This is massively noticable setting off or in D mode trying to get a bit more speed, it feels you have no control. You can either pootle along slowly or you find the amount of push to pick up and theres a delay then it just fires forward too fast.

The only difference between the cars is the newer one has a different standard style pedal instead of the big pedal off the floor and the new one has stop start but I disable it.

I've read other people have similar issue with Cupras and Golf R's but other people said they don't notice anything.. Comparing it to the other car it feels I have no control basically in the mid range of the cars power, its either slow or maximum speed!

Anybody else have any input? I've read up about DTUK pedal boxes and remaps also but why is it so different to my old gearbox (which is the same). grumpy
