Wierd Vibrations.....

Hi.
I've got a problem with a VW Polo PDTDI
It has started to display a strange vibration through the steering wheel when the car is accelerated in 5th gear at a road speed of 70, it's quite pronounced, depressing the clutch removes the vibration.
Any ideas?
