VW FOX Purchase
Discussion
So my eldest turned 18...and to insure her on either of the family cars was prohibitive, so thoughts turned to Grp1 insurance cars.
And hence...the purchase of a VW Fox. What a cracking car it is! I enjoyed driving it for a week (just to check everything was OK)... forgot how much fun an 'older' analogue car was to drive.
Gave it a good clean up and treated it to some new wheel trims... and thoroughly enjoyed myself in the process. I used to buy cars like this all the time, keep them for a while drive them and sell them at more or less what I paid. When did all that stop? When did I get lazy and sign up to PCP on new cars?
Makes me think of off-loading the Q5 and looking for something else to DD...
Best part was when I handed the car over to my daughter. She unlocked it, got in a deposited the keys in the cup-holder, then looked for the 'START/STOP' button. She'd only driven keyless before!
