does anybody know if i can get a vr6 lump to fit in a mk 2 syncro 4x4 jobbie?

Don't know, but I do know that someone has grafted the Golf Synchro 4x4 system onto a VR6 Corrado.

Yes, I've seen it done on a German one.

Don't know the details though.

i know a vr6 2.9 was mated up to a rallye , a few years ago by awesome gti. hope this might help

Quite a few VR6 rallies floating about, infact my car was in the workshop with VR6 turbo Rallye & a 20v supercharged Rallye & 4wd nutter 1.8T Mk1 with silly bhp just today!

I think tho (but dont take this as gospel as im not entirely sure) that the normal syncro running gear is not as tough as the Rallye stuff, hence most either start with a rallye as the base- or use its stuff, or use a hybrid combo with Halex rear end off TT etc.

i thought it might of been a rare thing but if its been done a few times i dont think i'll bother! back to the drawing board i suppose then!

VW did a VR6 Syncro mk3, swap the drivetrain complete over from one of them.

VR6 would tear a 90hp syncro system up for shreds
