Golf MK7 (non sport/GTi) petrol ownership

In April this year I bought a 2017 MY Golf SE TSi Auto Estate. Its a late 2016 build car. Its the newest car I've ever owned and I just needed a new daily driver for my 22 miles round trip commute, mostly dual carriageway driving.
Thought I'd ask any other similar spec'd MK7 owners of their ownership experience with respect to reliability and maintenance etc. What sort of things have gone wrong etc. Anyone had the intakes cleaned from carbon, if so what mileage etc.
Mine has 27k miles on it and so far so good, although I had to have the whole headlining replaced under warranty due to pinched sunroof drain tubes which stained the headlining. I can't say I like the auto 'box, its the regular 6 speed.
