Afternoon guys

I currently drive a 1.4 L 2009 VW sirocco which has 160 bhp and 240 Nm torque.

The majority of the time I am using this as a daily car however from time to time I take it on tracks and have a bit of fun on the road.

It’s not particularly a track car I’m aware however due to being young insurance prices are hardly beneficial to my pocket.

I am in the process of stage 2 remapping it will bring it to 220 break hp and around 320nm.

I am also about to change the clutch and was wondering if I need a performance stage 2 clutch as there’s around a 35% increase in power.

It is important to take into consideration I will be doing the stage to remap with revo this gives me the option to turn the remap on and off and I do not wish to have stage two remap on constantly a lot of work for 1.4 engine especially as a daily.

I was curious as to a stage two clutch when the stage two remap is not on will just cause me to stall everywhere? Or can I get away with a good quality standard clutch?

Cheers

Went from 160 to 220 on my mini and it uses the standard clutch. My e60 went to the same power but up and over 320ft of pulling power all on standard clutch. I do tracks inc the ring, fast road and daily the cars. I'd go standard or if your afraid stage 1. What is your standard clutch rated to torque wise? Hp makes very little differece

240NM to 320NM should be OK on stock clutch...
