Just wondering if anybody knows of any 2.0TSi EA888 specific bits to do before a remap.
I've had my timing chain tensioner replaced as preventative maintenance along with an oil and filter change, fuel filter, spark plugs and a K&N panel air filter. I know the diverter valves can be troublesome on these so might be wise to replace that also though it doesn't seem to need doing, I just want to appreciate the remap as best as possible when it gets done.
Thanks in advance.

Injector refurbish / replacement.

Also use a decent tuner.

As you reference the tensioner I assume you mean a Gen 1 EA888 (Mk6 GTI)?

Make sure your diverter valve is good, will be worth getting some codes read before hand. And make sure you go to a reputable specialist not just some bloke with a laptop.

Thanks to you both for your replies.
The car has done 27k so not expecting any injector refurbishment or similar to be necessary at this point. Like wise with regards to de coking the head, wouldn't have thought it should be bad at all.
You're right, it is a gen 1 ea888, its an Octavia vRS estate.
I've had the car on the ramps at work for the technicians to look over etc. and the diverter valve looks relatively new but I know that doesn't mean it necessarily is so may just get a replacement anyway. The car has loads of history and the diverter valve isn't included in it anywhere.
ECU has been code read with vagcom and all is good there.
Thanks again.
