Hey All,

Quick problem with the old beastie, the numberplate lights don't work now.

Changed the bulbs, and checked all the fuses, but it seems to make no difference.

Anyone any ideas?

Tech Info - looked at fuse no. 3 which so says is the numberplate light fuse, but removing that turns off the dashboard lights?!

Cheers

Neil

No idea, but it may be worth checking the earth connection on the tailgate. No earth=no lights.

I concur with Zcacogp, you may have inadvertentley yanked orf a wire.
Also check the bulb connections on the car as they can get very corroded.

Check your wires that go from the tailgate into the roof of the car. They are prone to corrosion if water gets into the rubber seals. Chances are you'll have a split wire somewhere up there.
