Hi all!

I’m looking at buying a V10 R8 Spyder, but it seems to be on different wheels to many of the V10s that I’ve seen.

I’ve attached a pic of the wheels, but I usually see these on the V8 models.

Can any one confirm if the V10 ever came on these wheels ?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they were offered as an option on the V10 coupe and spyder.

Seems a shame as the regular v10 alloys look more impressive.

Out of curiosity, has anyone bought or sold a Mk1 V10 recently ? Trying to get a feel for actual prices (rather than asking prices).

As Trev said, they were a V10 option but not seen many cars with that option ticked.

These do look like they've been refurbished though as the colour looks different.

Prices vary depending on manuals (lot rarer) and auto.

Looking at the market, manual prices are between £45,000 and £60,000.

Yup. This one was available for £45k (manual).

Had the clutch/flywheel done, and needed a bit of tidy up. Majority Audi history, with a couple of non main dealer stamps.

Couldn’t see any major services - not sure if that’s an issue.

Just put a deposit on a 2010 coupe manual V10 with only 15k on the clock. Bought privately, get to learn so much more about a car and how it’s been looked after..... or not in some cases.
Prices seem to have levelled off a bit and I think a sensible time to buy.

Was very tempted by a spyder. Had a ppi done on it which highlighted 3 of the 4 shocks were leaking. We were quoted £1282 each just for the mag rides. This seems to be one of the biggest issues to factor in when purchasing an R8.

Out of interest, would Spyders normally be more than coupes ? I know we are now in convertible season but just wondering if they generally fetch more than coupes.

yes they are universally more expensive, they cost more to buy new and to hold a premium on the second hand market.

those wheels were available as on option on pre-facelift cars, if the car is a 2013 or newer they are the wrong wheels as the design was changed for the facelift

Thanks! It’s a 2010, so guess that makes sense. Just seems odd to put V8 wheels on a V10.

Polo mint?

I’m looking intently at a R8 as my next motor. Anyone selling a v8/v10 manual coupe please feel free to get in touch.

Funds in place but prepared to wait for the right vehicle to come along. Ideal spec ibis with carbon blades & interior, b&o.

Would prefer to deal privately so drop me a pm if thinking about selling.

Just to be clear many gen 1 brochures exist. The above is the October 2011 release and the 3rd (I think!) UK brochure.

The 1st release can be found here:

1st release - https://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/audi/production...

I think there was a 2nd release in 2009 but can't find it online!

I'm also looking for an R8 at the moment, must be manual and ideally a Spyder. Not worried about v8/v10. Feel free to PM me!

OP is this the one on Ebay? Had spotted it myself!

Am interested in another one, but it had a clutch change at only 16k miles, which seems very early ?! Could that be a sign of an abused car ?
