2011 Audi A5 1.8T Oil burning edition

Hi all.I'm trying to get the oil level from the MMI and it continually states "there is currently no information available about the oil level", i have tried opening and closing the bonnet which is meant to reset it but all with no joy, can I buy a dipstick or is something not working correctly?

I can't seem to get it going on an A6 C6 2010. Luckily it does have a physical dipstick so not really that bothered, but would like for it to work. X5 is a whole year and a few months older with significantly older technology and it still always gives me an oil level reading (dipstick as well however).

could i retrofit a dipstick?

Likely so yes, people do it for other marques. It could be complicated however, especially with transverse engines.
