2.0 tsi tensioner issue

Im looking at buying a 2008 scirocco 2.0 tsi gt which ive read has a faulty timing chain tensioner. Would i be right in thinking if i was to get the updated timing chain tensioner fitted i shouldn't have to worry about it failing on me in the future?
