Hi there

I have signed up with my audi and it has released from 2019 uk maps.
So i thought I could save to an SD card, saved the files to it then oput the SD card into one of the slots in my TTS and update.

However it uses a really stupid file type which I cannot open, I have downloaded Java and still no luck.

Anyone now of any way to get this sorted? Think the file is jnlp or something like that.

Thanks

Mike, have you been able to download the actual map file or are you stuck at using the jnlp file to open and run the downloader itself?

The jnlp should open and run a Java script/thing to logon and run a downloader to get the map file. Not sure about Win, but Apple really don't like running Java stuff, so I have to jump thru a few security hoops to get it running.

Have you checked any security setting(s) that prevent Java running?

I'm not sure how much help I can be, unless you've got a Mac, Mike.

the current java version I've got (which worked yesterday for the maps update for me), is version 8 update 181.

The mach has automatically assigned an app called "Java Web Start app" to the .jnlp file, so it works seemlessly for me.

Sorry.

I've forgotten most Win stuff these days, but somewhere there should be a java programme, that you could manually assign to the .jnlp file?

Need to use the webstart function of Java.

This explains it nicely;
