Audi TT oil?

Hi,

I have a 2011 Audi TT 2.0L Diesel, on 136K miles, it needs an oil change. When I check on "oil checkers" for my number plate, it brings up both 5W30 and 5W40.

Not sure which i should use or which is better?

Any help appreciated/advice.

As long as it meets VW507.00 specification it doesn't really matter if use use 5w30 or 5w40 for normal road use in this country.

I thought one was for 'LongLife' servicing and the other Time/ Distance based servicing? Can't remember what way round it was though!

All been the same for some time. Those came out of the factory with 5w30 fully synth.
