Golf V engine light???
Discussion
Hey folks,
I have a new golf TDI 105bhp, chipped to 138 with 3,500kms on the clock, and the engine warning light has just come on! The manual says it's a Lambda probe problem. As my car is a company lease car, leased through a Nissan garage, the service department in there have'nt a clue!
I need the car for the weekend so can't drop it in until Monday morn. Does anyone for-see any probs?

This happened on my A3 a couple of months after I got it, it ran ok I called Audi who sent their mobile repair guy out, who diagnosed a faulty Lambda sensor, he 'reset' it and it was ok again for a day, called Audi again and they sent him back to double check.
Diagnosed faulty sensor - booked car in to Audi dealer to have the sensor replaced, left it all day with them only for them to tell me that it needed a new sensor and they had to order one for the next day
[rantmode]: you'd think they would either; 1. carry a spare sensor. 2. order one in advance. or 3. take one off a new car in the showroom. [/rantmode]
But the mobile guy said it would be ok to drive it and was not an urgent repair - btw repair guy is the same one who does breakdowns etc and was out within the hour, said he could have changed it in 10 mins if he had the part, I'm sure VW have a similar system for cars in warranty might be worth a try.
