Anyone fitted a Snooper Radar detector...?

Am looking to hardwire in my Snooper & Radar detector.. only bit I'm stuck on is where to mount the radar detector.. manual suggests behind grill but on a VR6 there ain't no room baby... where's yours???

Cant you fit it behind a plastic part of the bumper so that its got a free Radar view of up ahead?
So long as theres no metal between it and the plastic itd still work ok and be superstealthy.
